Tinder Date... I'm ALIVE!

For those of you who don't know what tinder is...you're probably over 40 or already in a relationship. For those of us who still have youth on your side, a lack of significant other, and twinge of desperateness...tinder is for you. It's a dating app. Significantly more sketchy than an online dating website, Tinder only allows you to post up to 5 pictures of yourself and an area for a very brief description or motto. With that information you either swipe left if it's a no go, or right if you think they're either hot or a potential date.

In the beginning I was ANTI Tinder to the max. I had already tried okcupid and match.com so I had had enough of the online dating for a while. Being in Madrid though, Darah and I were looking to see if we could find any beautiful men to show us around the city! There were plenty of hotties, but of course their initial comments were most likely sexual, creepy, or inappropriate, so they were quickly unmatched.
*note-you can only chat with them if you both said yes to each other*
After a few weeks of nothing really, Darah and my strategy changed. Don't say yes to the total hotties who you know are going to be creepy! (especially if their only picture is of their abs) So we started to swipe right to the average looking joes who might just be willing to show us around town.
Every once in a while there were a few potentials, but for the most part it was just fun to swipe left or right.
I did end up talking to this guy Cameron. No, he wasn't from Spain...but he has been living here since March. He seemed somewhat normal and after a few times of trying to meet up we finally did. The first time we tried to meet up it was already midnight and he said he still had to shower and would we (Darah and I) still be there in an hour. Absolutely not, we had to work the next day.

We went to this place called gymage which is like a gym, sports club, restaurant on the terrace type thing. It seemed like a super hip place to go! and they even had a swimming pool that I bet nobody every swims in, but it still looks really cool!

We had a bunch to talk about since he has a pretty sweet job. He works for a company writing articles on Pharmaceuticals and he stays in a country for about 5 months and then moves onto the next. The whole time writing and hanging out in amazing countries! I think the listed off at least 6 just mentioning it. His job is located in Paris and after every trip he goes back there, goes on Holiday and then is off to his next assignment. He leaves on Thursday and has no idea where he is going! Weird.

I had a delicious dinner! Salmon ravioli with pesto sauce! I wasn't quite sure what I was ordering, but it ended up being fantastic! Cameron's not so much...although he devoured it in less than 10 minutes. We had some awkward moments here and there. Not much of a love connection, but it was definitely great to get out on the town and have a nice meal paid for :)

Maybe I'll fall in love with a life guard at the beach! Darah was practicing her dead man's float the other day to attract them! haha. Oh life.

Also, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!!! I turn 25. woof.
