Mara and I take photo evidence of us feelin' safe and ready to ride!
Snapped this pic on the way to the pool. They look adorable. I wish the girls were always nice to Alex like they are here!
Spending the day at Mara's cousins house is something that I will never say no to. I am super close with all my cousins (LOVE TO YOU ALL) and I can only hope that Mara shares that bond with her "primos" since she is an only child. As the Wood Pile knows, when cousins get together we can be a bit sneaky... so Mara and Adriana like to gang up on young Alex and sometimes he gets sad...like any other 3 year old. The language barrier is a little bit of a toughie, but I think I'm getting through to him! (Thanks to all my CMS friends who have taught me the ways of toddlers...even though I'm still trying to work my way up to Jeanie level patience!!)
We went over there 2 times last week and it was lots of fun! Made the day go by super quick which I am all for :)
Thursday night we went out for a nice dinner with Espe's parents. They were super friendly and her dad even spoke slowly so that I could understand him...almost too slowly haha. I was very surprised to hear that they had NEVER owned a car because her mom is afraid to drive (or be in one). So they live in the center of Madrid and take the bus, metro, and train anywhere they want to go! Pretty amazing. At dinner I tried a lot of seafood that I never would have normally. (obviously I don't remember any of the names because I was also enjoying tinto de verano at dinner). We ordered WAYYY too much food and at the end of the night I was "lleno" or full. Delicious dinner with some pretty great people :)
