I know, I told myself I would write all the time...

Wow, the days really fly... I swear I told myself that I was going to write on Thursday, and then I was busy, so Friday it was..well, I never actually wrote a post as you can see. So here I am, actually writing!

Thursday night Darah and I went into Madrid to catch up with Cristina so she could show us around the city!

As soon as we got off the bus we were brought to Puerta del Sol where kilometro cero is. Basically the beginning routes of all the roads in Spain. Pretty sweet! We continued walking around. Lots of walking. It was Gay Pride all week in Madrid so we went to explore around. There's an area known as Chueca where all the pride was coming from. Perfect place for people watching.

While walking around we saw some pretty amazing people dressed up. Robot dude. 

We were walking around for quite awhile and decided it was time to take some wine! (or tinto de verano). Everyone knows it is my favorite drink because when I came back from the bathroom it was sitting on the table waiting for me :)

We tried croquetes for the first time. Basically, amazing little appetizer things that fill you up like a meal! We also had some meatballs, but those didn't deserve a photo!

On our way back to the car we stopped in the middle of the road to snap this pic!

It was great to get our first views of Madrid, and it made us eager for so much more! On the way home I caught this shot..

We were pretty impressed with Madrid on night one, and we were lucky because we came back into the city for the weekend on Friday!
